Parking Challenges in Ambleside and Dundarave: Please Keep Supporting Local

Over the past several weeks, businesses in Ambleside and Dundarave have felt the impact of two major challenges: the introduction of pay parking at Ambleside Park and the ongoing construction in Dundarave. As we anticipated, the lack of convenient parking has reduced foot traffic and affected sales for many of our local shops and restaurants.

Despite these challenges, our business community remains committed to serving you. We encourage residents and visitors to continue supporting local – shop your favourite boutiques, enjoy a meal at your go-to restaurant, and plan a little extra time to find parking when you visit.

Here are some parking options you may not know about:

• Dundarave: Public parking is available for those shopping at IGA underground with access off of 25th. Public parking for shopping in all of Dundarave is available off the laneway behind IGA.
• Ambleside: Free parking beneath Grosvenor. This parking is available to anyone visiting any business, not just those in Grosvenor.
• Many businesses offer free underground parking or have spots available behind their stores. If you’re unsure, call ahead to your favourite shop or restaurant and ask if they have customer parking available.
