Parking Update

March 12, 2026

Council has announced that pay parking in Ambleside Park will remain at $2.50 per hour until the end of 2026. They have also directed staff to work with key stakeholders to provide input and feedback to be shared with Council at a later date.

While we appreciate the gesture of holding the rate, this does not address the very real parking challenges facing our commercial district.

We strongly encourage residents heading out for a walk along the seawalk to please park in Ambleside Park, where parking remains free for residents. Visitors coming to enjoy the park or seawalk are encouraged to park on Argyle Avenue or at John Lawson Park, where parking remains free. There is two-hour public parking available at Grosvenor Ambleside for those visiting the Ambleside area. This parking is not just for visitors to businesses in Grosvenor but for visitors to the entire commercial area.
